Whatever you do, don’t miss the famous photo
exhibitions that sometimes come to our museum. World
famous photographers who have had exhibitions include
Mary Ellen Mark and Josef Koudelka. The Museum, one
of the country’s largest town museums, has a
host of exciting exhibitions, on current topics as
well as the history of our town.
Another popular tourist attraction is the Citadel,
located in peaceful surroundings enclosed by moats
and cannons. Not far from there you can take a stroll
though the allotment gardens and museum allotment.
The allotment owners open their gates every summer
for a walk around the gardens.
If it’s entertainment you’re after then
you have quite a few events to choose between. What
do you say about a reggae festival? A whole day of
music and picnicking in the green. A few days of carnival
samba? Or why not let loose on a pub crawl of the
town?
One very popular tourist destination is the island
of Ven in the middle of the Sound. Take the ferry
from Landskrona harbour. Ven has an abundance of historical
and cultural experiences. Here you’ll find all
you need to know about Astrologer Tycho Brahe in a
recently opened museum. Ven’s galleries, craftspeople
and artists are a must for all tourists. An experience
not to be missed.
New for the year is the Pump House in Borstahusen.
This is a newly built arts centre in the harbour,
a couple of hundred metres from the Holiday Village.
Enjoy a good meal in the pleasant restaurant and visit
the art gallery with its interesting exhibitions and
activities.
